Hello everyone,

Please find below the biggest stories of the last week (as ever, it has been full of ups and downs!):

1.     Shooting in Nashville

The tragic killing of innocent people (including 3 children) in a school in Nashville is beyond comprehension. How can a human being embody such depravity?

The motive of the attack is, as yet, unclear. What is clear, however, is that it was pre-meditated and sophisticated.

Not long after the incident, evidence emerged, revealing that the shooter was Audrey Hale, a ‘trans’ person. The police have said they are investigating this fact as a potential motive for the attack.

I do not wish to speculate on the motive but I do wish to reflect on the reactions to the shooting, which were extremely telling.
